Ekran: accessible home cinematography
Ekran movie cameras were produced for amateur filmmaking in the Soviet Union. Their uncomplicated construction and modest price made the format accessible to new users.
The collection includes Ekran 3, Ekran 4 and another Ekran model.
These cameras used standard 8 mm film and simple fixed lenses. For many owners they provided a first practical introduction to shooting and projecting home movies.
